The idea of an owners club for NGs was born at the National Kit Car Rally at Donnington in June1981. At the show there were six TAs one of which won the 'Alternative Car Trophy'. The TAs turned in quicker times in the driving tests than the Marcos'... even the 3 litre ones!. Among those present were Ian Peacock, Tony Redington and Peter Nicholson. As there were only six members the monthly newsletter was manually typed using carbon paper by Liz Peacock. The first newsletter was a single side of A4 with a brief report of the Donington Rally and information about a pub get together in July.

We also have a number of regular meetings around the UK and have a club stand at many of the larger shows. We are also present at some of the European shows, including Belgium and France, and have contacts with other Clubs both here and in the US.
Quantum Owners Club (QOC) is a club for people who own or have an interest in Quantum Cars, which are a type of Kit car produced by Quantum Sports Cars. The club was formed in early 1990 by Peter Crawford, who having build a white Series One Coupé, decided to form an Owners Club for people who were interested in Quantum Sports Cars. The first official gathering of the club was at the Newark Kit Car show in the same year, when a number of members got together for the first time.
SKCC is an independent kit car club, a virtual and real meeting place for those with an affinity to ‘Kits’, the club’s slogan “Fun isn’t a straight line” holds true whether Building, Dreaming or Driving: Living with these cars is an adventure, from making decisions around the build / ownership and converting ideas into reality, to taking your car to places you would only have dreamed about and making new friends along the way.
SKCC members talk about ‘Smiles per miles’, owning and driving a ‘Kit’ is all about the journey and the fun that can be had along the way. The photo gallery or the ‘Reports’ section will give a hint at the adventures that we’ve enjoyed.
