How to make a claim


If you need to make a claim here’s what to do:

In the event of an incident, you need to inform us as soon as reasonably possible with details of what has happened.

You can report a claim to us by phone or direct to your insurance company using the number in your policy booklet, this is often the quickest way to get things moving but we are always here to help and advise you.

Once we have your completed claim form our team will then be able to help you and explain the next steps.

What you should do

 

  • You need to tell us as soon as possible giving details of what has happened.
  • You need to tell us with any information We may ask for.
  • You need to inform the police as soon as possible following any case of theft, attempted theft or lost property.
  • You must not admit liability or offer or agree to settle any claim without Our written permission.
  • You should take all reasonable care to limit any loss, damage or injury.
  • You will need to provide Us with a valuation or receipt to evidence the value and age of each item.


What's covered
 

  • Your Policy Wording and Schedule set out what you can claim for and what is not covered, if you are not sure please contact us.
  • Remember, no policy covers everything. For example, we don’t cover certain things such as damage caused by everyday wear and tear.
